Meet the Leader: Neil Hunter, Chief Learning Officer and Partner at Deloitte Canada
With over 30 years of industry experience, Neil Hunter is currently the Chief Learning Officer for Deloitte Canada. Prior to taking on this role, Neil led Deloitte’s Human Capital Workforce Transformation in Western Canada. He has also held senior HR roles in the energy industry, public sector and not-for-profit organizations. As a former CHRO, Neil brings a deep understanding of best practice in leadership & learning work, putting work at the center of the end-to-end talent processes in various industries, and how they are converging in the skills landscape.
Today, Neil leads a team focused on enhancing human performance and bringing potential to life, to improve productivity and the overall workforce experience inside Deloitte Canada and Chile. He is the Dean of Deloitte University North and sits on the Deloitte Global Learning Executive Committee. Well versed in leadership development and succession planning, he is sought after for future proofing people strategies in support of evolving business strategies. He brings expertise in future of work, culture strategy alignment, change management, learning transformation, leadership assessment, performance management and coaching, organizational design, employee experience, talent management strategy, and labour relations. All in service of creating workplaces where people can thrive.
